Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) Class
In Colorado, a concealed carry permit is called a Concealed Handgun Permit, or CHP. Before you can submit your initial application to the sheriff, the state requires a class of at least eight hours from a verified instructor. This is that class.
Terry Young is a Verified CHP Instructor through the Adams County Sheriff's Office. Under Colorado statute, verification by the sheriff of any Colorado county allows an instructor to teach CHP classes anywhere in the state, so this class supports an application in any county.
The day covers safe and responsible handling, the law as it applies to carrying a concealed handgun, and live fire on the range. Plan on a full day.
